Sports Physicals

A sports physical is an essential step to ensure your child can safely participate in sports and high-intensity activities. This exam not only helps uncover existing health issues but also plays a vital role in preventing potential injuries. During the physical, your child's doctor will carefully evaluate your child’s medical history, assess their physical fitness, and check for any underlying conditions that may impact their ability to play sports safely. While the exam could identify a condition that might limit participation, it often provides valuable insights on how to manage or overcome these challenges. Additionally, it helps determine if any specific training or conditioning is needed to prepare your child for safe and successful participation in their chosen sport. 

Ear Piercing

At Dunwoody Pediatrics, we offer ear piercing using the Meditech system, recommending the procedure for children at least 3 months old after their first set of vaccines and sufficient ear growth for accurate placement, minimizing risks. Piercing is available by appointment only, separate from other visits, to allow time for the procedure and aftercare questions. The fee for piercing up to two ears and includes a set of studs.
